Formerly for free stories. If like romance and Sapphire's fan, you can get free stories on her newsletter . You can join at Sapphire Phelans Paranormal Newsletter . You must be 18 and older to be able to get the newsletter. Now this is for any reviews I get for either pseudonym. First review for Haunted Richmond, Virginia. See what the reviewer for Future Mystery Anthology Magazine had to say about it: For a quick diversion into the “other” world, check out HAUNTED RICHMOND, it's a delightful journey into the supernatural real world. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4.7. Another review was by Midwest book Reviews! They did it on my book's page at Amazon and it's also at http://www.midwestbookreview.com/bw/sep_07.htm . Pamela K. Kinney's HAUNTED RICHMOND (9780764327124, $14.95) tells of various Virginia ghosts, from those who inhabit governor's mansions and theatres to a seafood tavern's ghostly resident. Another review from Rambles.Net. Here is some of it: The stories in Kinney's book range from tales of the famous people who have lived and visited in Richmond to stories of prisoners, soldiers and ordinary people caught up in tragic circumstances. Most ghosts, it seems, come back to places where they were wronged or even murdered. The Southern setting adds a dash of intrigue and romance to the notion of ghosties and ghoulies. You can take it all with a grain of salt or simply sit back and enjoy the well organized book that Kinney has put together, full of screams, dreams and things going bump and scrape in the night. I would advise a bit of both. Here's what Apex Rreviews said about Haunted Richmond, Virginia: Rather than a trumped-up collection of ghost stories designed to scare the bejesus out of fireside Boy Scout campers, Haunted Richmond is a thorough, informative, well-researched account of real history and its real consequences. Makes for perfect late night reading - just make sure all the windows and doors are locked first. Read the rest of the review at my book's page at Amazon.com or at APEX REVIEWS . Nonfiction author, Deborah Painter wrote a review for Haunted Richmond, Virginia that is up at my book's page on the Schiffer website: Schiffer Books/Haunted Richmond . Read some of what she has said: Haunted Richmond is a good source of entertainment and chills. Kinney evokes the mood one needs to fully savor a collection of regional ghost stories. She gives you the feeling that you are sitting down on a comfortable sofa as she reads aloud these stories of encounters with haunted homes like rural Haw Branch, where a painting changed from black and white to color due to the team-up of two female spectres, the mysterious lady who haunts the Governor's Mansion in downtown Richmond, and strange but true accounts of the Pocahontas Parkway, where whooping Indians terrify drivers by leaping into the road ahead of their windshield wipers. |

First super review for Being Familiar With aWitch from Cheryl's Book Nook! At the beginning Charun was definitely the bad guy but as the story progressed, he started to get more likeable. It was fun to see Tina’s transformation from a girl into a witch. I love the play on words for the title of this story. As familiars are considered a witch’s friend and sidekick. I knew the bond that witches had with their familiars was a good one but have never read one, where the chemistry was out of this world H_O_T! Being Familiar with a Witch is a great quickie read. Fans of all things paranormal, who love their books spicy will enjoy this book. I plan on checking out my books by Sapphire Phelan. I got a super review for HAUNTED RICHMOND in Haunted Times Magazine, Vol. 3, issue 3, Winter 2009. What the reviewer wrote: When I thought of Richmond, Virginia, thoughts of the Confederacy, the Civil War and Edgar Allen Poe started to dance through my mind; a visit would be a historians dream. Yet, after reading Pamela Kinney’s Haunted Richmond, I realized this trip could even more interesting than I originally imagined. Throughout this well-crafted maze of the supernatural, you will find tales of unknown complete with historical perspectives on the people and places involved, such as the Governors Mansion. Not only do you get the chilling stories of things that go bump in the night, you receive an idea on how the lasting impression of the spirit world came to life inside. This book is necessary for history and paranormal fans, opening the doorway to another time and place. Full of small elements of reality and unfamiliar facts, the eerie tone of the book pulls you in to a different world, creating a pathway into future exploration and discovery. This riveting book should not be missed. If you like a copy of this fantastic magazine you can get it at http://www.hauntedtimes.com/orderhere.html . My erotic paranromal novella, Beast Magic has a new review at SableLitReviews. Some of what the reviewer said about it: Beast Magic was a visual feast for the mind’s eye. The wielding of Phelan’s pen left this reader breathless and anxious for what lurked around the corner as Shana’s love with the beast left her marked for retaliation from a rejected lioness convinced Shana’s lion king was meant to be her own. It was my first read of a shape-shifter story and I really enjoyed. It blasted every preconceived notion I had about the genre Check out the rest of the review here... http://www.sablelitreviews.com/beast-magic-halloween-review/ |
